Dojo Depth Session

Sprint 1 · Due · ~30 minutes

You are your own stakeholder.
What did knowing yourself enable you to design?

The Session Flow

This session uses TWO Dojo personas in sequence:

@Framer
Develop your thinking
@Reflector
Test your thinking

Framer helps you generate and clarify your design story.

Reflector evaluates your thinking against a rubric. Reflector won't approve shallow answers.

Step 1: Work with Framer

Start with Framer to develop your thinking:

Starting Prompt for @Framer:

I'm preparing for a demo where I need to answer:
"Walk through your 5 Whys chain. At which 'why' did you find a design opportunity?"

Help me think through:
1. My challenge was [describe it]
2. My 5 Whys went like this: [walk through them]
3. The design opportunity I found was [describe it]

I want to clearly articulate what I KNEW about myself that helped me see this design opportunity.

Step 2: Switch to Reflector

When ready, switch to @Reflector. Share your draft and let Reflector evaluate against this rubric:

Reflector Evaluation Rubric

DESIGN OPPORTUNITY (not willpower) Did your 5 Whys find something you can CHANGE about your environment, system, or process? If your answer includes "I need more discipline/motivation/willpower," you haven't gone deep enough.
STAKEHOLDER-INFORMED DESIGN Can you complete: "I know [X] about myself, which is why my friction is [Y], which is why my experiment does [Z]." The connection must be VISIBLE.
SPECIFIC, NOT GENERIC Would your experiment work for anyone, or does it specifically address YOUR context? What would a generic solution miss about you?
PROGRESS EVIDENCE What have you actually DONE (not planned)? What did you learn about whether your self-knowledge was accurate?

Don't move on until Reflector confirms all four criteria. Shallow answers won't prepare you for the demo.
